I contacted my bank immediately and froze the account as well as contacted the PUBCAR company who stated they issued a refund via US Mail and cancelled the subscription. This was on Thursday July 6. I went to the bank to get a new card on July 11 and there were 14 additional attempts to charge my card made by PUBCAR since the alleged cancellation of the subscription Contacting Pubcar again they stated there was a cancellation but no refund noted then proceeded to inform me that the refund would be into my account (not via US Mail) what was originally 10-14 days to receive has now turned into 15-21 days. Very sketchy and hope no one else falls prey to these scam artists. Consumer affairs has multiple complaints stating the same thing promises of refunds and never receiving them as well as subscription cancellation promises and accounts still being charged months later

I have never signed up for this service
I have never signed up for this service. However, when I tried to contact them via chat and they told me that my email address did not look registered, I was confident that I didn't sign up for this service. The lady said to me that she required my email to proceed. Next, I heard that a woman called Natasha created an account with an account (my email) and password (my last name is misspelled) and asked me to adhere to her directions so she could assist me. After that, I logged in, and she told me, "well, I can cancel the service now. Is there anything else I can help you with" then I received an email with the registration details immediately followed by another email sent to cancel the services. Still, she completely forgot my request to contact them as I had been charged for six months; they had set up my account even though I did not have any membership.

Fortunately, I was able to catch the charge immediately and was reimbursed. However, I was never signed up to receive "volume discount " reports. This is highly suspicious. In an edit, I discovered no issue regarding the information except the monthly cost. The refund was promptly issued after I reached out to them.

They will give you a free car history report and "accidentally" sign you up for an $18.95/month payment plan. Don't Please don't your credit card details. They also claimed (after making the charges) that they didn't have the information they claimed to me they had.
I received a letter with only a VIN and the town where it was constructed. I was being charged $18.95 for a service that was advertised at $1.00.I sent an email to the company and was told that I could sign up for a monthly service at the time of checkout, but it wasn't offered. I was told it could be canceled without additional costs. My account was then charged $18.95, and 2 days later, my card was used to make other charges that were not approved.
