Worst company ever!!!
Worst corporation I ever labored. Becoming Smiths self employed driver basicaly manner you're their cheap working force. Takes cash from you when they could, you want to chase them all the time. Also they come up with additional unpaid paintings to do because in their words "you already there" (thats the last diamond-you need to pick out no longer only newspaper returns but rubish from the shops too). Some people nonetheless does it without a license due to the fact they're pressured to do it and threatened to loose their jobs.
Delay in Credit Refund
Most awful company I've worked with. After 2 weeks, I have yet to get my credit. The only thing they provide is a reference number. A complete waste of money for a business. They will never hold the sole position in the printing media.
A terrible company
Two thousand four hundred pounds "deposit" to sell papers I do not really would like and pay a fee of 140admin to use them, this is a terrible company.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. They're sucking up money as if it were anything else. They charge delivery charges which eat up all weekly profits. Sometimes we must pay them off of our bank account and incur losses. They also do not provide adequate return credits. If you do not know about it, they are estimated to consume approximately PS100 every week. I'm unsure of the number of stores struggling with these. At the same time I'm watching, I need to engage in a lengthy discussion with them to obtain the credit and check every time a claim is acknowledged. In SNAPP, it shows the claim has been accepted. If you examine the documentation, it is less than half the amounts creditable. It is necessary to contact them three or more times before you can get credit. Be aware of the company.
Do not ever... You are looking for bad customer service when you encounter an issue
Do not ever... You are looking for bad customer service when you encounter an issue. One of their drivers drove into my canopy, right over the doors (snapped), and it was not repairable! He went away as he handed out premier shop papers and was looking back at the CCTV. Contact their customer support team ..... awful, don't stop talking, and don't think they can accomplish anything since I am not a paid customer and have an account number. We know who is responsible. Even the top shop contacted their customer service department to explain what happened. We don't have to get the depot to offer a return call. The phone is ringing nowhere!
A complete joke
A complete joke. They hold the advantage in this market and take advantage of it by providing the worst customer service. They will always give you random items you do not need, then charge the customer for this. Avoid this company and do not work with them. !!!!! Shame on Smiths' news!
Overall, it's a waste of time.
I would not have given zero stars had I been able to. The deliveries are usually on time. However, the most significant issue is the volume of documents missing, which is a regular occurrence. It is possible to call the call center, which typically takes about 20 minutes on hold. Most staff will be exemplary, but when you call someone from Newcastle, they're rude and don't have any answers for anything fast and quick. You can contact them to cancel any unneeded items, but you'll receive them. You can ask to be contacted, but nothing happens. Overall, it's a waste of time.
Awfull, terrible, horrible send things you don't want or even credit them
Awful, terrible, horrible send things you don't want or even credit them. Then, the direct debits are taken from your account to PS100s of pounds plus. Still trying to reconcile the report, but having no luck. They say that we have 24 hours to settle, and within 24 hours, they will say the same thing.
Poor service
Poor service. The local shop central stores in Plymouth are constantly having issues with Smiths. Today no telegraphs have been delivered, despite a promise to deliver the papers. They did but could not provide the documents until nearly 8 am. Ineffective cooperative, operating as a monopoly. And they realize it?
A complete joke
A complete joke, and they're wondering why their newspaper sales are dropping. Continuously late deliveries a sudden never had credits for something for two weeks despite calling the company three times. e a complete sham and I would like to end the sale of products in my shop since it's not right that a company such as this could make profits from of us shopkeepers who are hardworking. The trading standards should investigate this company at the highest levels.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.
This company is not worthy of even one star. Avoid this business. They're nothing more than a bunch of incompetents. They owe me more than PS900 to get my deposit back and continue bribing me off. The claim is that someone will return to me, but they never actually do. It's been over a month, and I haven't received my deposit back. Their customer service is wrong. They are not always right and usually short, and you must fight to recover the money they withdraw from your account. Sometimes, the vouchers are utterly incorrect on their part, but they will charge you for their errors. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.
Terrible
Terrible. Perhaps one of the most challenging firms to work with. Each day they send more papers than they do their delivery notice. Then, they charge you, and you must go through the process to recover it. AWFUL. Avoid. To my mind, the number of mistakes is an indication of fraud instead of pure negligence.
Shady supplier for magazines and newspapers
Shady supplier for magazines and newspapers. They do not respect the retail stores. On certain days, they offer, but on other days they don't offer; they will cost you and then make you pay. They profit from market monopolies. They only back large chains such as Tesco, Asda, and Sainsbury. Also, make sure that smaller businesses fail due to their reckless actions. You are never in contact with the local store but only with the call center, which has no contact information.
I would recommend ANYONE to stay clear of doing business with them
We are a brand new business that is tough, but even more so when there is an outbreak, and it is difficult to work with complete (inappropriate terms) such as Smith's. They're refusing to talk to us and are now seeking another source. We've lost a lot of customers due to their complete incompetence. I would recommend ANYONE to stay clear of doing business with them.
What a robbing company.
If we are missing titles, we can claim them, however! Smith News always does the claim recharge on the same day. On the front page, credits the claim. The same day they recharge claims with the delivery of goods. Credit on the front page and recharge on the back of the form. In essence, we don't receive shares for missing papers. What a robbing company.
Horrible place
Horrible place. After two days, I started work. 2 meetings on performance included management having a fling at me, swearing, and displaying unacceptable behavior. I was at risk of having a panic attack. They treat you like robots and enslaved people, not human beings. I won't be returning to that slave camp. Other than that, the crew was great, just terrible management. They don't care about you more than the work. Enough said.
Poor service
Poor service. I don't know how to escalate the issues. I didn't receive the newspaper, and trying to contact them to determine the cause is unsettling. Four people answered the phone in India with different responses. There is no explanation for the call.
The newsagent was established about a year ago. They're unreliable and don't know about the responsibility of a newsagent and their abuse when they cannot deliver your paper to your regular customers. This is happening frequently and occasionally.
Poor service and wondering how they will endure all these frequent complaints. I would like to see someone investigate this.
Smiths News is the worst company
Smiths News is the worst company in the world, and that's not an exaggeration. I've worked with them for the last 15 years and never had a positive review to share about them. Every aspect of Smiths News is awful. Hopefully, with the death of print media, the evidence is there for this business to disappear too.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY
This company is not worthy of even one star. Avoid this business.
They're nothing more than an unprofessional group of incompetents.
They owe me PS900 for my money back, but they keep flogging me off.
The claim is that someone will come back to me, but never.
It's been more than a month, and there is still no refund on my deposit.
The customer service they provide is terrible.
The orders are rarely correct and often rushed, but I must fight to recover the money they withdraw from your account.
Sometimes, the vouchers are wrong. However, they will charge you for their error.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.
